Bourque Heads To Chicagoland While His Car Heads South

The thrill of victory (or at least a top ten finish) turned to the agony of defeat this week for Conservative news aggregater/amateur race car driver Pierre Bourque when his stock car was jacked from under his team's nose:

"This week, Bourque was to head to Chicagoland [Joliette, Ill.] Speedway to test for the upcoming ARCA RE/MAX Series race on September 8th, but the team's rig, including race car, was stolen overnight in Illinois. Nonetheless, Bourque will be entered in that event, his first ARCA race of the season."

Poor Bourque, the guy can't catch a break! Don't know how he'll race without a vehicle; maybe one of the other teams will lend him an old pair of sneakers.

In any case, this is not the Conservative Car number 29. That would have been too rich for words.

A police report quotes one of Bourque's team members as saying Bourque's car has never been driven so fast.....

Maybe Bourque organised the whole thing in order to avoid making the race...
